Call for Proposals: Cradling Cincinnati Summit

Cradle Cincinnati is proud to announce our 4th Annual Cradling Cincinnati Summit, a gathering of community leaders, healthcare professionals, advocates and changemakers committed to improving outcomes for Black birthing people and their families. On Friday, October 17, we’ll come together to share innovative ideas, proven strategies and collaborative solutions to address systemic inequities in maternal and infant health.

We invite you to submit proposals for workshops, lectures and poster presentations that align with our summit themes, rooted in Cradle Cincinnati’s strategic plan. Together, we can create a future where every Black birthing person has the support, resources and care they deserve.

Summit Themes

Proposals should focus on one or more of the following themes:

  1. Create a Community-Based Ecosystem of Support for Black Birthing People
How can we build and strengthen networks of support that empower Black birthing people? We seek proposals that highlight community-driven initiatives, partnerships and programs that foster trust and create culturally affirming spaces.

  2. Support Black Birthing People Across All Stages of Pregnancy and Parenthood by Meeting Their Basic Needs
What strategies can ensure Black birthing people have access to the resources they need to thrive? We welcome proposals that address housing, food security, transportation, childcare and other essential needs, as well as programs that provide holistic support during pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.

  3. Expand the Medical System’s Capacity to Center the Needs of Black Birthing People
How can we transform healthcare systems to better serve Black birthing people? We are looking for proposals that explore equitable practices, patient-centered care models, provider training and policies that reduce disparities and improve outcomes.
